Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Eclipse let out an exasperated groan and shook her head.
"Only you Sunspot," she muttered, resting her head on the floor. "Only you."

Sunspot snorted, shifting her wings around herself comfortably. She watched Sol hovering over his silly human.

That seemed to be another liability of his. Sol seemed horribly devoted to Tobias. Even Eclipse seemed to respect him. What could be so interesting about this guy that made everyone treat him like a king?

The sun was setting.

Insect-like wings caught the setting sun like stained glass. Arya was baking to death, and the sunset offered some relief.

Cochineal searched for a place to land for the night. Eventually the pair of fugitives settled for a batch of large boulders settled in a valley of sand.

Arya dismounted, legs wobbly after so long in the air, legs chafed by Cochineal’s scales. Seeing the painful looking marks, Cochineal winced.

“It’s fiiine,” Arya said, waving the dragon off as he peered closer.

“We should’ve at least grabbed some kind of blanket or something,” the hybrid said, sounding concerned.

“Oh, buzz off,” Arya said, pushing his snout away. “I’m exhausted, and I know you are too.”

In reality they hurt, a lot, but no use for Cochineal to worry about it.

Cochineal sighed and begun digging into the sand, burying most of his body and leaving a little divot for Arya.

The desert was horribly cold at night, but the warmth Cochineal’s scales gave off fended it away.

The fugitives fell into a light, uneasy sleep.

Sage was tired of this. He ripped the gun from his holster and aimed the barrel at the silkwing. "Alright, enough of this. You had your chance. I need to get back to what I came here for, but before I leave you, I need to make sure you keep quiet."
@TheWasp
Lotus raised her talons slowly. "I'm sure you don't want to do this. What is your name? Maybe we can talk about this, just put down the gun.." She closed her wings and made herself as small as possible.

@Yukiko
Sage continued to grip the handle of the pistol. His finger itched to pull the trigger. He watched the dragon attempt to shrink herself. The uncaring eyes continued to watch the dragon. "I already tried to talk. You didn't want to."

Whitestar reached out a talon toward Austin, scooping him up by his middle and plopping him almost carelessly on his back. His scales prickled uncomfortably at the feeling of the human mounted between his shoulders, unlike how amusing it felt to carry Alyssia.
"Loop the chain over your shoulders," the Icewing instructed. "It should be big enough to still fit loosely if we are both in it."
He tapped the human's arm with a talon and then tugged at the chain.
"It's right here. No- over here. Right h- yeah, there you go."
It took Austin a moment to find the invisible object and Whitestar bit back the irritation in his voice as the human fumbled for the necklace.
"Alright now hold on."

@Yukiko
The dragon sounded irritated as Austin attempted to find the chain. Looping the large chain around him, he watched his hands disappear. Now that they had this advantage, he was much more confident in Alyssia's plan. Gripping the scales, he braced for the takeoff and flight around the building. His confidence was coming back as the familiar feeling of being on a dragon hit him. He felt ready.

Whitestar launched himself into the air, beating his wings once to come above the shorter buildings. Trying to be silent, he swooped between them and began gliding dangerously close to their walls, his wing tips barely skimming the metal attachments on the sides.
"Austin, guide me," he hissed quickly over his shoulder.

Austin almost yelped at how close they got to the sides of the buildings. "Alright alright!" he whispered back. "Alright, continue straight and then in two buildings take a left." The large building loomed next to them and he could see through the windows of the commanders building. The lights were on, and he had to stop himself from panicking, remembering that they were invisible. Once they went left, he continued the directions, "Fly over the buildings behind the archives building and there should be an alleyway behind it. Drop into that and we'll keep the invisibility on while figuring out what to do next."
