Topic of the Week - What do/can you do with unwanted roosters?

Pics
I am not sure I have ever had any 'unwanted' roosters, I like to raise my birds from chicks, so by the time I know they are roosters, I am already sort of emotionally attached to them.

I am grateful that we have a hobby farm now so I can keep my roosters there.

Yes, roosters are more violent than hens, but if you have kept a rooster flock for long enough, you will also know that some roosters can be great pets. They too, display empathy and caring characters.

I give them away and keep some. My original rooster is a cochin and he trains them and let's them have some hens. They don't fight each other so I don't worry about it. I have 4 roosters and lot's of hens of various ages. Silkies will lay continously so I just keep the hens and get rid of the roosters. I just want to keep them all 🤣😭
