I don't think it's a big deal but thought I would double check, my chicken layed an odd egg today--is she ok, and is the egg ok to eat?

Doing this for awhile, we got her a year ago and she was already full grown then

It could be from stress or physical damage during production. I'd keep an eye on her to be safe and make sure the stress isn't from getting sick. Should be fine to eat

Is egg 'normal' on the inside?
How many like this has she laid?
Is it spring where you live?
Adding your location to your profile is most helpful.
Wonders why you think electrolytes are needed?

Do you have any idea how old she is? Sometimes when chickens are reaching the end of their laying cycle, they can start laying funky eggs. As long as the inside looks and smells OK, I wouldn't worry about eating it.

I haven't cracked it open yet. I want to say she has layed an egg like this in the past but that could just be me saying she has. It is Spring where we live--we live outside of Seattle.

Electrolytes that I give them are an immune boosting blend that help the chickens from getting sick or overly stressed
