Ok people, I have a question about Youtube. How is it that you can find the same video on there a multitude of times, but posted by different people and with a different name? Can anybody just grab any video and stick it on there? Tell me how it works please.

I think I need to go watch Charlie the Unicorn again!

That's what I was thinkin, but the samurai were in Japan, and from what I remember Japan and China haven't really gotten along very well. Probably the same kind of thing though. It's pretty sad. I mean, the import things were bad, but not bad enough to kill oneself over! Maybe Chinese prisons are really horrendous...


Y'all, when you look at my signature, is the chicken jumping?? Because when I look at it the poor guy is standing still with his hands in the air. All my other smiley's are moving properly, but not him.

Even if prisons in China aren't bad, but I'll bet they are, those guys lives are over anyway. They'll never have a decent job again and will live in shame. I don't think that's a culture that handles shame well.
Plus, that's a culture that's very work-oriented. You stay with the same company for life, usually, and men put in 60+ hours a week. So their job is their identity.

I used to work for a Japanese company that had Chinese engineers. They truly take work WAAAYYY more seriously, and practically live at the office. Any who didn't were frowned upon and scolded. And these were lower level positions. Upper level guys were there sometimes over weekends in addition to 12-14 hour work days. That was clearly the way to get ahead.

So it doesn't surprise me that these Chinese VIP's are doing the hari-kiri thing (sp?) rather than face the humiliation of scandal.

I love this thread!

Hate the Bratz dolls. Luckily my 8yr old does too. That kind of stuff is one of the many reasons we don't have a TV! I know, we are strange, but we have better things to do. I miss the news sometimes. If a bomb drops or something can someone email me?

People ask me all the time, "You don't have a TV? What do you do?" Well, we don't have a TV, but we do have a library!We have a sewing machine, paint, clay, etc. We have 6 acres that backs up to 6000 acres of timber with a river, and we have mules and chickens and dogs....I can't imagine when we would have time to watch TV.

Death clock....I get to live til 2057. I will be 93. Apparently my DH died 9 years ago! See what you miss when you don't watch the news?!?! Should I tell him?

I wondered what the secret of all the fun smilies was!

Now I got 'em too!!

Let's see....What did I miss? Oh yeah, eyeballs! I can't wait to tell my DD. She won't make me go there anymore! Hm....she always gets the chicken nuggets. Does anyone have a gross story I can tell her about Mc D's chicken nuggets?
