Awesome...just awesome...

I had to use Google Translate on both those phrases, but those are priceless!

It's been a loooooooong time since I worked in an actual office, so I haven't had to deal with people soliciting for these things. The kids' schools always send home fund raising stuff, but I usually ignore it. The only one I participate in is Girl Scout Cookie sales. As expensive as they are, people still want to buy Girl Scout cookies, so I'll take my girls around the neighborhood to collect orders for those.

I think I'm going to cross stitch that on a sampler and hang it in my cubie....

I sent a cheese order for 4-H to my mom's work, and had the best sales of all the kids and ended up with some sort of prize.

It did help that the cheese was from our area's famous cheese factory and everyone could just help themselves to the catalog and order form.

My workplace is too busy for people to walk around and ask for donations, so they just leave stuff at a table to be viewed when you get the chance. So, I really don't know how I would feel about being asked for donations...

I had a chuckle when I seen the Pampered Chef line. My grandma got me a Pampered Chef plastic pot at a garage sale and gave it to me, all impressed that it was PC....I use it as a feed scoop for my cats/dogs LOL!!

I used to try and buy a little something from any kid who would come to my door selling, remembering how tough it was when I was a kid and had to do the same thing. But I had to say NO when the neighbor kids came over selling the $15 tubs of cookie dough. If I'm going to hand over $15 for cookie dough it had better come with its own baker who will call me when the cookies are ready to eat and have a tall glass of cold milk already poured. It was all the more irritating to learn that this was a fund-raiser for the local PUBLIC school, not any club or class but just the school, which is already mis-managing my tax dollars.

It's certainly not fair when some kids can benefit because their folks work at an office where many co-workers will buy their wares, sometimes under compulsion, while other kids must do the actual selling door-to-door. I don't work in such an office, but if I did, my co-workers would have to learn to accept my simple "No, thank you" without any further explanation.
