I have the gooseberries that turn purpley black but start out green. When they are ripe they don't have too much of a flavor...they really are quite mild if you ask me.

I like blueberries more but if you put some gooseberries in front of me...I'd eat em. And the seeds are so tiny really...I don't even notice them when I eat them. When the berries are still green they are more tart... I like tart. I will have to do more research on varieties because I'd like to try the green ones.

My gooseberries are on the corner of the house where a large maple resides so they get maybe an hour or so of sunlight before they are shaded for the rest of the day.

Debi... that's a nice truck you guys got there. White is a good color...shows dirt more...that way you can show everyone just how tuff you all are.

All the farms say Aug 1 so we should plan for right around this weekend or next? I'll call them this week to find out more.

There are no bees by my blueberries right now...just flies and japanese beetles. lil bastards!

Just got a call from my heart doctor nurse and she said my blood markers for my heart were ok. whew.

Now have to follow up with my regular dr.
