Want me to call and play chained up evil Rottie on them for you? I didn't have to do that with the kid's school, dang.

But we "cheated" and sent them to private. The local school is good, but they don't have AP or IB classes for the older kids, and we have the option for one of the best IB schools in the nation, we are sending them.

They're in a charter program for homeschoolers. The issue is that this woamn is upset that erik is too far ahead (there's a 2year cap on grade levels from age, so erik is age-wise starting 2nd grade, but is in the classes for 4th graders. So she accused me of doctoring his grades. I'm not kidding. Nevermind that erik was born to 2 teachers, and had every early learning possiable, to her mind a 7 year old CAN'T divide and do fractions, so i must be padding his grades. When we had her last time she flat out refused to order his next class of books for months. Now she's arguing about ordering his reading books and wants to do a proctored assessment (he had one in June before moving into this grade). I'd like to beat her to a bloody pulp for messing with my kids. Oh yes, and she took 6 months to put in the paperwork for evan to go into special ed, even after we had the hearing loss diagnosis.

don't you love that? The look on the face of when evan calls and old man "sir" is priceless. I should probabally ease up on the kids, but goodness there's plenty of bad examples around.

Kick her butt! Ender starts kindergarden next Thursday, and I have him doing multiplication---without memorizing the tables.

Mahonri's Wheaton Maran is in my kitchen, in the big open area. A roo outside crowed, so now he is crowing. It is SOOOO FRICKING LOUD.

Yep, it's not uncommon for younger siblings to grab the academics earlier, exp if they realize that they won't get older then thier brother, but they can get smarter than they are.

Speaking of brooders---One little Aloha is all the way out of the shell, and was thusly moved outside. I even put an icepack out there to snuggle up with.
