hi boo. Actually feeling surprisingly well. The tooth pain seems to be gone. I'm going to have to research the vitamin c connection, for sure. Have not taken anything for pain since the first pill made me sick! Hmmmm.

I love yo Michelle!

I am barefoot most of the time, so they get pretty thick. Occasionally, Tattoine needs to molt.

Back in the day, I would do band camp ( marching band from 8 am to 10 pm) and I would get really thick calluses. Then a few weeks later, when school had started and I was sitting down all day, they would come off.

Maybe my calluses are just "reforming" since I am walking the kids to school everyday, and I have to wear shoes to do it?

I get callus on my big toes, the side. And a little to the side of the ball of my feet. occasionally I use the pumice on them, but probably should more often than I do.
dh calls me lizard feet. I am always in my flip flops, except when I am at work.

I need new flip flops, the bottoms of mine are so thin now, that when I step on even the tiniest of pebble, I can feel it.

Me too. Mine are letting the devil thorns in the yard through the bottoms.

So I volunteered at Ender's K on Friday. She wants me to come in and work one-on-one with the classes 3-non-English kids, and a little boy named Chris who is operating on Ronin's (2-3 yrold) level. So I may be less around for a while.

What I NEED is a job.

Old Navy has their flippy flops on sale for $2.50 if you buy more than 2. So I am replacing all the flip flops in the house. Then you can put the 30% off code in "THANKS". So every 3rd pair is free.

Thanx for the tip!!

Sometimes, if you volunteer long enough at the school, they find a position for you.
Then, you have all the same holidays the school has!

Off to amend the chicken pen to please the snarky people who live behind me. They're not neighbors. Neighbors would speak concerns to your face (or leave a note on your door) instead of calling in the big guns.

I may still lose, it's up to the architectural committee now. We'll see. But on the bright side (if there IS a bright side) building roof panels and more doors will make the pen more sale-able should I lose my chickens.

And if I lose my chickens I will certainly have to take up an outside hobby that requires power tools, music (I love bagpipes) and long hours. I'm thinking tile mosaics here. Every loud neighborhood child will be invited to play. Daily. And you know what a mess Oleanders make near a pool? The whole back wall, baby. Fifty plus feet of fast growing, tall bushes that shed. Alot. I happen to have some really good fertilizer. They should grow quickly, perhaps just in time for Arizona BBQ season. Of course I'll be checking the CC&R's to make sure I'm not breaking code. And I think weekly visits to drop off home made cookies to my "neighbors" would be a friendly activity, don't you? I wouldn't want them to think I held anything against them. Baking might help fill the yawning chasm left behind if I lose my pretty chickens.
