Ewww, gross story time.
Poor Poof Face, she's one of the two chickens that got attacked and nearly eaten awhile back when i left the door open one night.
She's healed from that, but when I went to check for eggs this afternoon, oh my gosh, she was by the gate with her head stuffed under a board, and her back was pecked badly, I was afraid to pull her out, is she alive? Oh, she's barely breathing. All the other chickens ran out, so I let them. i ran and got son, HELP ME!! Poof Face pulled her head out, her comb is completely pecked off, and her head is swollen nearly 3 times the size and one eye swollen shut.
This is my 9 year old girl.
Then I walked over to get the isolation cage ready and Pecky the rooster ran over there and started attacking her. I saved her and put her in the isolation cage with neosporin all over her.
When Pecky got up onto the roost, I grabbed him and he fought and flapped like crazy and he went into the transportation cage.
Bye, bye Pecky, you are pretty but you can not stay.
And I hugged pony and now bun bun is in my chair.
