I had a broody who switched nests a couple times in the coop. I got lazy and didn't pull any of the eggs until yesterday. There was an aura of rotten egg STENCH just hovering near the coop.

I would accidently break some eggs near the fence. And then leave them there. Maybe even point a fan on them on a nice hot day.

Sidenote in most rules, there is NOTHING about quails. it's not a coop, it's an aviary... That's how I get around the city rules only 4 chicken hens (I have 2), but quail are not mentioned in any codes, so i can have all I wan care for (still have to be kept clean).

I'm sure it falls under the nuisance laws. That being said I have 2 compost bins, Earthmakers, provided free by the city. I don't like flies any better than the next person tho'.

Does anyone else have suggestions for my chicken toaster?

Well since you don't like flies, hang some of those fly bags right by the fence. They smell like dying wildebeest but sure do a good job on the flies.

Chickens are not mentioned other than as FOWL. The committee has the power to declare them non-pets.
