Not 100%, but better. Aside from the sore breast, mastitis comes with flu-like symptoms, so you feel like you were run over by a truck. The flu-like symptoms have subsided after 24 hours of antibiotics and popping Ibuprofen like candy, but my breast is still really hurting and nursing really hurts. I've had mastitis 1x with each kid, but it's usually early after having them and I didn't get it with Jacob, so I was patting myself on the back for avoiding it. I guess it was coming.

In other news: SS suckered me into taking her GEORGOUS chocolate frizzle silkie. And somehow 5 choc/dun hens made it into the box too.

So much for down-sizing.

WAIT! She did take my Mottled Houdan roo, which means I am only up 5 instead of 6.

My Gold Star pullet started laying 14 days ago. She has laid an egg every single day since. I think I am in shock. We haven't had fresh eggs since June when my three one-year-old hens all quit laying.

This chicken thing is confusing.
