McFly- Your ladies are hiding in the coop, under the nesting boxes. Thankfully, it is where the fan blows, so they are getting some air. I let the rest of the chickens and turkeys out---so maybe the ladies will get calmed down. There is an auto-waterer in the coop, but I don't know if they have found it yet. I think I am going to stick their beaks in it, then give them a big 'ol ice block and a bowl for it to melt in.
Are they roosting yet? If they do, they should be integrated by tomorrow morning. If they roost in the coop, then Patch will think they are his, and then they are in. As it is, the only other chicken in the coop is my new Aloha breeder roo, Punkin. He;s trying to win your ladies over--WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME-- since the SS pullets are going to him anyway. The one SS has fabo mottling, which I think will go nicely with Punkin's patterning.
SO: For the NYD hatch, Punkin will have 10+ ladies to himself, as I am no longer breeding Patch. Right now they are all running together, since it is too hot to NOT let them find their own shade.
