Mr toes was "left at center" as a stray. And then was anonymously sponsored. Suspicious? Yes. Maybe gramma died and the grandkids dumped him off so they wouldn't have to pay drop off fees. I'm tellin ya, he has the most soft, silky and shiny coat ever. Usually "strays" have a poor coat (like Lucy) when you first get them.

A stray or outdoor cat a) would not live as long as he has b) would not have a great coat like him.

Its a bit baffling. He eats like a champ and has quickly gained condition here.....but you would think that his coat would not have been great if he was not being fed well elsewhere?

Very strange. Doesn't matter since he has gained permanent residency at the Reject Retirement Ranch.....but still curious.

Ahhh, I need a nap. Have been cleaning the Florida room aka DH's personal drop zone. He seriously missed the clean up after yourself training from mom. Is that what stay at home moms do, pick up hand and foot after their offspring. Gah, need to kick some hiney. Seriously.

If DH wasn't neutered, I'd have done it myself today at the doctors.

No, stray cats don't have nice coats. I doubt whoever dumped him would donate fees. Why not just pay the drop-off fees?

I'll bet the spouse dumped him when grandma passed and the kids felt bad and sponsored him since they couldn't take him. Didn't you say he didn't like men?

Oh my! What happened?

Nells, maybe Mr. Toes was getting the proper nutrition, but just not enough actual calories, wherever he was. I have seen that in horses - great coat on a horse that is super duper thin.

Weirdness.
