Place a scrap of plywood over the broody and then toss a large cup of DE on the nest. Squash the bugs that fall onto the plywood.
Create a suit similar to a beekeeper's first. And be sure to take photos.
 
My neighbor on that side is about 85 and mostly deaf. She called me once because she heard dogs barking and thought maybe I had fallen in the backyard and my dogs were pulling a "lassie" move and calling for help.

I wasn't even in the backyard.

Neither were my dogs.


On the brighter side, she just takes her hearing aids out if my roosters get too loud. And she listens to the police scanner and calls me if something happens nearby. And she got in a fight with another neighbor and called her a heifer. And found a snake sneaking into her basement and smashed its head with a hammer and then hung the body on the clothesline out back.

I want to be her in 60 years.

I forgot, she also pulls up poison ivy with BARE HANDS. Says she isn't allergic to it. She went through my planter last year and pulled it all out for me.


If I could stab them in the eyeball without getting attacked, I would so be there. Preparing to go SMASH this one to bits here in a minute.
