Belle, my dad's b-day is Monday.
And my MIL is coming next weekend.

Garden fresh radishes, I've really got to start a garden this year, haven't done so since I went back to work full time.

So many gophers though, and no .22 doesn't work, neither does the neighbors gophernator, and when the other neighbor had about 100 cats, there were still tons of gophers, no birds though.
Now there are birds and quail and doves by the hundreds.

DH had the kitchen clean for me when I got home today!

I swept the floors, gotta mop kitchen floor and clean toilets.
I got all the laundry folded yesterday.
Maybe I will sew a little this weekend.

And GD needs some undies for potty training.
Its so cute, she yells Gammie! and comes running when she sees me.

The next GD is due August, first week. Right when I am off work!!

Boo, you need some Crown Imperials. They are a bulb you plant in the ground and they drive away gophers, moles and rodents. The bulb itself smells, almost like a skunk, but once it's planted you won't smell it, but the rodents do.

When I worked at a grocery store I used to ask all the little old ladies how to do everything, because, well, let's face it, by the time they are old - they know a lot of stuff. So as they would come through my line I would ask "how do you clean this" or "how do you cook that"... we had all kinds of great discussions, one would start and then the lady behind her would join the conversation, then the first lady would leave and the next lady would be talking and the lady behind her would join in... it would just keep going, but with lots of different advice from all those sources, all day long. Some advice was worth what I paid for it, but some of those ladies really knew what they were talking about.

Anyway, Dotty brought me her catalog that had come in the mail and showed me, I figured it couldn't hurt to try so I ordered a couple. When they came in I planted them, pretty soon, no more gophers.

AK, I love the idea of talking with the "little old ladies" in the grocery store line! What an idea. I bet you received all kinds of opinions and ideas! I love asking the "older generation" (and I can say that being 46... older is always 30 years older than what we are right? heehee

) questions... or I love just listening to them talk about growing up on the farm, canning, going places in covered wagons and such. All of that is lost on us now.

FlyLady, baby bites. And I seriously doubt it is as untidy as you claim.

Don't make me come down there and check for myself

Look what I found last night... http://www.falkensteincastle.com/

I
haven't checked GoogleEarth to see where in the world it is yet, but the wedding pics look great!

soooo..... I survived the latest court escapade.

x filed a motion and I got wind of this horrendous proposition that involved visitation on tues. afternoon and court was thurs. and then continued to friday...the judge ruled on it yesterday. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but it could have been A LOT worse. It was a very hard week for me. But me and my girls survived...*and I must insert*....THANK YOU JESUS!

So what...maybe I will....maybe I won't....you'll never know until I do or I don't. So take that.

And it's got nothing to do with the ticks...ok, maybe it's got a bit to do with the ticks.

Michelle, that castle is fabulous, could be a great place for your wedding!
How far in advance to you have to book?

Oh maple,
