Sparkles I wish you worked for social security, then at least I would know what the hold up would be. It would be because they handed all the work and phone calls to one person. Stupid government agency! Yes I am presently in pouty, throw a temper tantrum, hate everything mood.

Oh I forgot to add a ((HUG)) for sparkles.

Money issues are all over. In my little part of the Forest Service we had to cut our travel costs by 20% compared to last year. Others units failed to do that. Now we have to cut 35% compared to last year but because other units in our larger group failed to meet even the 20% we now have to cut 45% to make up for their failure. As a lot of you know my work involves extensive travel. The Forest Service is obligated to pay us for a certain amount of pay periods whether we work or not. It's looking like I might get paid for not working. But that means clients don't get work done that they need done. It's a mess.

Thanks jbow, and I'm sorry about the mess ur dealing with right now!

I swear if I didn't have kids I would sell off what I could and load up in the camper and become a gypsy... or a hobo, probably a hobo.

DACS!!! Where can I find information on a bird that has built a nest in my maple tree. The bird is tiny, has a yellow underside but brown on its tail. Its little body is sleek not like a chubby little sparrow. It built a nest that looks like a pouch that hangs in the tree instead of sitting in the branches. I've searched the internet but goog god its hard to narrow the search parameters. It has one little baby that hops onto the side of the nest and makes a racket LOL. I keep telling it to get back in the nest because if it falls out it'll be chicken food.

I keep saying I'm gonna keep driving south. At some point I'll hit beach and just stay there!

Drive until the map turns blue? Me and you both.

DH has been a grump the last few days, right before the week-long trip we're taking next week (sound familiar, Sparkles?).

I was trying to book plane tickets for my sister's wedding in September. My mother told me plane tickets were going to be $277 each (we need FIVE!) but she was looking in the wrong airport and they're really going to be $428. I can't WAIT to tell him they're going to cost $755 more than I initially quoted him.

Why yes Belle, that does sound familiar! Thank goodness they get better (?) once youre on the road. Mine didn't, he caught a head cold and he hates weddings when its people we KNOW let alone people we've never met before! Doing man-stuff with my bio dad helped him be chipper for the last half of the trip tho. I hope you guys have a nice trip!

He's even worse while we're driving, but he's always great once we get there. Once we're there he's the life of the party, always wants to do stuff and never grumps about the money spent. It's just getting there without killing him that's the challenge, considering I haven't asked him to do anything! What does he have to stress about?

Have you considered it may be easier if you just killed him and got it over with?

I've pondered it a time or two.

Actually, my DH loves to travel, and is never grumpy before or during a trip. (He does get mighty grumptastic, just not about travel.) I am always a wreck by the time we leave, but that's because I organize everything.
