LOL I worked as a paramedic when my kids were young. I was the only parent that didnt freak when my kid got hurt. If they fell I would yell is there a bone sticking out? Are you bleeding to death? I worked all week and I'm not going back to the hospital! They only came to me if it was really bad LOL.

Me too. I'm like, "go hose it off. It's just dirt, and dirt don't hurt. Holler if you can't make it to the hose."


I am the mom that laughts and yells, "BIFF!!" when my kids face-plant.

Tin stuff is gorgeous but sooooo out of my price range. I like to go to our renovation rescue store. Its one of those places that contractors and people donate their leftovers from HUD homes and such. They always have some nice tile and grout at about a quarter of what youd pay for in Lowes or homedepot.

One would think that people who do my job in other counties would be more courteous to fellow financial workers... if I call you and say "Hey, can you transfer a case to me please?" you should jump on that, because I'm reducing YOUR caseload by one... I am underwhelmed by the service in Stearns County.

I keep etoh (alchol) in a spray bottle for work. When the kids come in (inevitably it's a fall off a bike/skateboard where dirt is ground in as they skid on pavement), they are plopped down, sprayed down and bandages for anything too bloody/open. Scrapes mean they sit till the blood dries. Last week erik came home with no skin on his face. he;d fallen off the monkeybars face first into the tan bark and scaped up his skin bad.
