I did too, actually. I also liked how he looked me right in the eyes before he did it.

I know it. He's like...look at my fancy pants.

They weren't that far from being in their run either. One was not even a foot away and the other was more like 6 or 7 feet away from falling into the run.

I got grossed out one year when I saw them fighting over a dead baby bird that had fallen from it's nest. They took turns snatching and running with it's limp little body. sickos.

wooo hoooo....the sun is bright now!!!

My cats would've left them on my door step.

Jezebel brought home a fence lizard yesterday. She carried it very carefully so that it was in perfect health to chase around. It finally managed to escape. Had it died (accidently, of course) she'd have left it on the "don't let the chickens in" doormat as a gift.

Beaner, I think we all know that were all nicer than you. You are only nice to old dogs and cats, and broody hens (grudgingly).

I thik of the fox like I do my hawks: It's my job to keep the chickers safe. It's their job to challenge me.

Plus, if Mr Fox goes away than the coyotes will come back. A niche is a niche. Red foxes fill it prettier.

...Don't let the chickens in.... I need one of those.

I'm sure that Petey, dac's outside cat and his side kick Fuzzball...would have had them for a snack or left them on the front porch for me to find if it had not been for the storm that was blowing in. I was worried about that too when I put them outside there today but luckily for me, Petey had snuck in again and was tormenting the inside cats...so he didn't spot me and come investigate what I was doing outside.

My new house lines up to cornfeild...I wonder what kind of critters and predators I'll have there?

Probably the same...possum, coons, owls, hawks, and coyotes. I have this sense of protection here though since the coop lines up here to subdivision.

The feilds are across the road in the front yard. At the new house they'll be in the backyard where the coop will be. hmmm.... and my run is not built like fort knox....the coop is safe at night though.
