Morning all. Almost had a tragedy this morning.

At some point this morning, the two duckles that hatched yesterday were shoved out of the nest, and froze to death. I was getting ready to toss them in the trash (I always double-check for stiffness) and BOTH were still alive, just a bit frozen.

So, I moved all the mean-ol silkies and turkens over, warmed up the chick-cicles, and force-fed them some warm sugar water.

5 minutes later, they were fine.



Also had two more duckles hatch this morning. AND some random dude on BYC sent me a "you're a cutie" PM. Time to go back to the AT&T lady. She's scarier than I am.

The few times I've gotten a PM from a Random Dude were rife with misspellings, dopiness and typed entirely in lower case. So nice to know I attract such high caliber attention.

Morning everyone.

Lori sounds like your DD is bored in school and I found smacking em in the head doesnt work (just seems to numb the brain cells a little more) but if you wear pointy toes shoes and position child slightly in front of you a good swift kick in the rear seems to motivate them a little more. But I do still have a 20 year old son that I'm willing to give up for free. I'll even throw in a dozen pure coronation sussex eggs.

Nella that bagel sounds amazing, I had a cough drop for breakfast and a Goodys powder.

Buff fluffy people are nicer than skinny starving themselves to death people.

Orch and Michelle sorry your little ones are ill. I swear I didnt send it your way.

Algae yes we do lurve you! If we didnt like you we would be extra nice and say things like "Well Bless your heart" which usually means so what, go away, your a PITA.

Gretch frozen cokes are the best!

Last time I had a cochinsicle I stuck it under a heat lamp for half an hour before feeling entirely too creepy with a dead chick in my living room. It was too far gone. Sigh.

One of my broody mottled cochins is dying. Not sure what went wrong. She was fine a couple days ago. Now she is standing and not sitting, but all hunched up and non responsive. What the frig.

I'm supposed to be getting in the shower, yet here I sit, and I have chicks pipping but I also have a dinner date to meet some of Tom's friends after work, which means the chicks will have to wait till I get home to be oogled.

Life can be so cruel sometimes...
