No, only have to tie her up when I'm turning my back on her and don't want to chase her 3 houses down. Since we were going to go somewhere, I tied her up so she wouldn't jump on my packages in the car, I needed to unload before her crazy but jumped in there and could have broken my new dishes. Or I tie her up when I'm cleaning the coops so she doesn't chase chickens while I clean.

I think I will try wrappin it.

If there is a petsmart near there and you have $10, go buy a martingale collar. Its like a nylon choke collar....but has limited closure....so a dog cannot slip out of it. I wouldn't use it to tie up a dog unattended for hours, but to walk a dog or tied her up with moderate supervision, it would be perfect.

Byw, any dog worth their salt will learn how to back out of a buckle collar when it wants to. My dogs don't leave the property without martingale collars attached to their leashes. The side benefit of this is that if somehow they do manage to finagle their way out of the martingale collar and get loose, their buckle collar (with tags attached) is still on them.

That's what she had before and she busted it. She seems to bust everything. I'm almost thinking she needs a leather collar.

You know in Jurassic park where the dinasaurs kept testing the weak spots in the fence perimeter? She's like that. She runs full force on her lead and then it busts. She's busted a cord that said good for 100 lb.'s. She's not on it a lot...but I do have to refrain her at times but she's so gosh darn engergetic and most times it's because a bird or squirrel are near by and she goes and stalks them and then lunges forward. When we go out I let her run and run and run to try to get some of that energy out anf for the most part it works but those darn pesky robins and squirrels just get close enough to taunt her.

Plus we go up to the highschool football feild, shut the gates, and let her run to her hearts content and I walk the track and my girls run around and then we play fetch...and I've been walking her to pick up my girls at school lately.

My DH and I love songbirds, but we make up nicknames for them. Tufted titmice are considered titties in our house. (Helps that mine are about the same size as the bird...)
