I am over 50 pages behind, and then behind on those pages before the 50, so I've missed a lot.
And yesterday I saw the thread closed, and then back on
and well,
I be behind as usual and clueless

yep, and my dad is looking good, still has to be on meds, but I think even the heart rythym was looking better on the ekg today.

Well, what had happened, and why I think he got so sick, was back in Feb he went tot he pharmacy to pick up a new rx
and the counter girl gave him some one elses rx, and he didn't read the name on the bottle, well they staple it shut in a bag ya know, and he took that wrong med, and the doc said it could of killed him, it was the worse wrong med they could of handed him.
He felt like he was dying and he looked like he was, and ya know what, he probably was cuz doc said it could of killed him.

So its been scary.
And he's doing well at the gym again now, he's up to over 100lbs on the weight machines. he was at 140lbs before all this. But he continues to get stronger, and he has put back on some weight. He had lost 30 lbs in one week on that wrong med, and was really confused, and no energy and wasn't sleeping and his heart was racing.....................................

And everyone noticed he wasn't feeling well, and every one was worried, but no one knew it was wrong med, everyone thought it was his age, until the day he went to doc and said, am I suppose to ge taking these,
and doc was like WHERE'D YOU GET THAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And doc did good and got him better now, and I still do the meds part, cuz he's on so many now and the doses change on different days and stuff.

Best you take care of that for him. That's how my bro in law's aunt died...from wrong prescrip. I am very carefull with my meds...I take so many but I notice when something changes and then I call pharmacy and this last time she said, is there a green sticker on the bottle? I was like, I don't know...going over to see...and yep, so it says, color, size, shape may appear different because they changed suppliers... They were quit impressed I noticed and called.

Geez, boo....that could have turned out fatal. So glad you all got him goin on the right track now. So what was the prescrip. he took on accident? What was it for? That's so scary. Very happy he's feelin better, boo.

Told DD she couldn't go goof off after school because Rachel is coming over to spend the night and she whined at me. Then I noticed that she was filling a sandwich bag with coco puffs and the bag was so full it couldn't be zipped. I shrieked like a Jurassic broody and made her dump half of them back into the cereal box.
It's not just that they disappear in like 24 hours after buying a box.
And not just because she complains about her weight.

It was mostly because I put 5 dark chocolate hearts in her lunch and she saw them and wasn't even happy about them. My feelings were hurt.

As a result of my shrieking, she didn't whine about not goofing off with the boys after school. And she said "Yes, please" when I asked if she need a dollar for water.

Shrieking like a broody is not how I intended to start my Friday....

I've been given the wrong prescription for Norman twice. Both times they gave me a higher dose without telliing me.

First time, walgreens apparently was out of the correct size so they filled it with the double dose and just changed the instructions to cut it in half or quarters. But never said anything. I recognized the pill looked different and yelled at walgreens.

Second time, cvs apparently just got confused and gave me the wrong size and didn't notice. I recognized the pill was different and took it back and they refilled it correctly and gave it to me for free. But anyone not familiar with the pills would have been using double the dosage without knowing out. Whoops!

Crazy people trying to kill my cat. Good thing I'm neurotic.

Good morning

Since it was a new rx the doc ordered, my dad did not notice it was the wrong pill, cuz it was one he'd never taken for to begin with, so no way could he notice.
He was suppose to be getting a diuretic for swelling in the legs and they gave him a thyroid med that speeds up your metabolism to reduce your appetite.
Have noticed the color and size and # of pill is written on the bottle. They had to start doing that probably because of so many errors in the past. Who can read that tiny print. And when a man goes in to pick up a rx, and says HIS name, why then does the counter girl hand you a bottle with a woman's name on it. Just plain careless. These places owe a duty of care. Well, he is doing beter now, and tht's what counts the most. Just a very disruptive 2 months.

And I was wondering what that shrieking sound was that woke me up this morning!

Year before last, in Jan my dad almost died.

He had been perscribed a wrong med, that when combined with his other meds, made his neck muscles grow and grow and grow. I don't know the actual science behind it, but he was hospitalized for migranes and dizziness.

Long story short: his neck muscles crushed his vertebrae, and pushed them into hi spinal cord. Once they figured it out, they had to go in a remove all the little shards.

Now my dad has all sorts of problems, normally associated with quadrapalegics, even though technically, he is not one. But he has to wear diapers, cant walk--not really-- falls, has limited use of one arm, etc.

Wow Laree, cuz my dad's neck and shoulders really started hurting him too, and he was so achy, and started having a hard tome moving around. I really think it was the wrong med that caused that. Its gotten better now.

This is so scary, it happens way more often than I was aware of.

So sorry to hear about your dad.

Right now, DH and DS18 are helping DS's friend who JUST turned 17 pack up and move to our place. 17 y/o is getting kicked out because he "only" got a 32 on his ACT as a junior. Yes, seriously. So if I'm in and out today more than usual for a Friday, it's because I'm working with a lawyer to get this mess set up legally.

Oh well, I'm broody and they are giving me a new chick to cluck over.
