We went, we saw, we signed the two week foster contract to see if we like him, we brought him home. He is a great dog except for one thing - on Sunday he slipped out of his collar while DS#1 was walking him on leash in the yard and he killed DS#2's little bantam cockerel.
Oh, there were lots of tears. But surprisingly both of the kids still wanted to keep him...personally, I like him but wanted to take him back because I'm going to be the one suffering from the effects of eternal dog/chicken vigilance. Sigh. So he's still at the house. He loves everyone except chickens....them he loves tooooooo much.
I told DH all our other dogs have been "mine", this one can belong to him and the boys.
