I STILL haven't recieved any form of unemployement. I am going to call right now, in fact.

We signed a contract for our new barn. Construction will start on August 1st.

20 X 40, concrete floor with a drain so I can hose it out if it gets to funky, windows that open to let in the fresh air, heat and running water so no more hauling water all winter long

We are building the interior walls out of simple frames and chicken wire so as to not impact the ventilation. I can let everyone flock together most of the year but close things off for breeding season. We will be moving the incubator and brooder out there too (although, I might have to rethink the incubator, I had another stuck chick last night and it was much easier to deal with in the house...

I'm so excited!!!!

I have wanted a barn since I was 10. This is like, the ultimate dream come true.

We will probably make a bit of room in there for a horse or two too.

We had the land that we were in the process of buying appraised (havent fully purchased it)........It wasnt appraised they way we thought...,Uhggggg Its worth about 13,500 LESS (yes I said Less) than expected. Soooooo we would have to got to closing with an extra 13,000. So we are pulling out. I'm so bummed.


Anyone wanna tell me a good place to live?

BTW-- I am going on a raod trip with the MIL and whole family. Put ME outta my misery.

BOWS- did you get a tracking # on those eggs? I am going to have the pet sitter pull in the box & set the eggs when it gets here.

I can handle my MIL its my FIL that would be the issue. I'd have to ask my mother if she got it for me (like I asked) I couldnt get to the PO so she took them for me. She was embarrassed to walk in with a box box marked Live Embryo written on it so she put it into a bag and took them in.
