French onion. cheap to make, wonderful to eat, and if you burn it, perfect, supposed to be that way.

Ditto. Some bread with provolone on top and then toasted makes a wonderful side for dipping....

chelle...are you going to be able to plug your soup in to keep it warm. <laughs because it's ridiculously hot lately...but then worries because of the "creme" based soups and how they talk about food poisoning....

And you can't melt provolone on top of a soup that's going to work...everyone knows the cheese is hard to wrestle when you're just having one serving.

I agree to keeping it simple.

I would like to suggest chicken bow tie soup...I just had some yesterday at a resteraunt.

chicken...cuz we raise chickens

bow ties...cuz they're so gosh dang cute

carrot discs

celery

onion

...and you've got yourself a cute little soup with a bit of color in it reminicent of summer and it's fun.

oh and a side dish of oyster crackers cuz those are fun too.

oh nevermind...I see...you said bread with provolone on the side. I get it.

but you know lately...bread can tend to get kinda soggy with cheese on it if it sits for a bit...or is that just happening to me around here cuz of the stupid humidity?
