Isn't this Friday? Isn't it supposed to be lovely? Why is it not lovely in my corner of the world?

The black spot on the basement wall was black mold. The idiots that built our house forgot the vapor barrier, at least for that section. Maybe more? DH has pulled a 6x6' chunk of wall down, so far. He hasn't even been home 24 hours...

I was managing to keep my sinuses from imploding. Guess what mold, plaster dust, wet insulation, vacuuming and DH's venting have done for my sinus headache?

Went to do chicken chores for the fresher air. A broody had an egg explode under her and bit me when I tried to clean up the mess. She has been banished to the outdoors. I am over broodies........

I have a comprehensive exam tomorrow that I am soooo not ready for. Not sure I COULD be ready for it, as they have added material I never had since the last time I took it. At least 2 classes worth, that I know of. Not a happy camper....

What happened to the thunderstorm-cloud-over-its head-smiley? I got a lot of use out of that one and BYC took it away.

Algae, sorry about your friend and his son. I know it should make me feel less pissy but so far... no.

I will do my best on the test. I'm a 'prepare for the worst' kind of person so that things aren't as bad when they finally arrive. I do know that I'm having a harder than usual time focusing today and that's going to make tomorrow a little worse.

DH has entered the sniping phase of being pissy. I may be better off to take my study materials and laptop out somewhere to study. Because I just got scolded on 'follow up' over a couple of bags I took out of my car on Friday that he swore were laying around before he left. Um NO dangit!! KMA, dude and lighten up.

This basement issue is a bunch of $ while I'm not earning any.
I cleaned and organized a LOT of stuff while he was gone, PLUS studying for this test.
Griping at me is NOT going to bring about positive results.
Telling him these things is not going to do any good.

Yes, I may need to run away from home for a while........



I don't hear anything from Don any more. He unfriended me on fb a few months ago. Maybe because I had the audacity to try to dye my white showgirl purple??? Who knows. I do miss hearing about his motorcycle adventures.....

DH just came and apologized. So no running away from home. He's very disheartened right now, about the house and also some family stuff in IL. We'll be having a long talk about it later today, for sure.

If my practice test is an accurate example, then I'll pass my test, barely. Apparently I'm strong enough in 2/3 of material to compensate for getting 50% of 1/3 of the material wrong. <sigh> Not really the image I wanted to project, but at the same time my advisor knew I needed those 2 classes already. Guess this might keep him from thinking I need about 6 more!

Will spend the rest of the day trying to learn a little more about the other 1/3 of the test material...........
