That's news??? Don't you live with 3 of them?????

Yeah, 2 of the 3 can't hit the toilet....

This is why you teach them to SIT. Geesh. Standing is for urinals or outside.

Good morning all!

Nothing special going on here. I didn't do any house work all weekend, and have not got the coop 100% repaired.

All the roos and older hens will be moving along for science on Monday. I CANNOT wait. I am so stoked the crowing will stop.

Other than that, I think I bought one of these last night:

except it still looks like this:

The barn is on hold cause the builder is working out on the Aleutian Chain for a few more days.

Ihad to move my bed away from the wall so I could paint it and ended up sleeping in the middle of the room. feels kinda funny, like I'm on "Bed Island"

The darker color is taking 2 coats to cover the white, and my ceilings are so tall I have to have Tom do the bit along the ceiling trim but he doesn't mind helping to it's no big deal. I love these colors.

Yesterday while I was painting Tom went to the garage and worked on the feeder he's building me for the barn. I love it! It is almost exactly what I envisioned. He called me down twice to give input since we were designing this on the fly. I love that he takes the time to understand what I want and why so he can make it just right, or sometimes, even better than I had imagined.

As soon as I'm up and dressed I'll get pics.

dont farm loans have lower interest rates?

YEP! I just hate all the worry that goes along with buying a home. I'm excited but stressed too. I am determined to try and be happy through this whole purchase!

Sommer (alohachickens) got it from our newest Aloha member, Steven. Apparently he is a Brit who lovelovelovelvoeloves to raise rare stuff. So he has a whole herd of them. I guess he had a ewe lamb for a second time this year. She had twins, one died, and the ewe has no milk. Since it is the wrong time of year for babies, there are no ewes in milk. Steven was just going to euthanize it, and SOmmer is a sucker. So she took it home. Right now, the lamb is living in her living room, being bottle-fed.

She needs me to lamb-sit it while she is in Hawaii--so it will probably get put in my meatie pen or my dining room if it is still too hot. Then it will go back to Sommer's. She has room for it. Shane and I will help pay for feed, lamb-sit when necessary, and pay for half of processing. Sommer wants the horns, (so does shane, but I said no) and I am getting the hide. Then we'll eat mutton forever.
