Sothernbelle - I just bought 4 pairs of pants at salvation army for myself. I have gained a lot of weight over the last few years, but don't want to spend the money on new clothes in a bigger size (denial for sure)

I was thinking about going there for something to wear, but go to the one in the "rich" part of town.

We as a family are not broke by definition, but my hubby pays all the bills and saves the money, buys the groceries etc. and I get to live off of my paycheck for whatever I WANT including my cell phone, gas for my car, chicken feed etc.

It's an arrangement that works well for us

OK anyone want several dogs that like to bark at squirrels, rabbits and little kittens? Mine are on a roll today. Two of them just hid under my bed because they know they are in trouble.

Thank goodness the kitten doesn't take any crap from them and likes to sleep on top of their kennels just to torment them back.

My daughter I am going with is 21 and lives on her own - maybe she can get the gift for now. We get paid opposite weeks and she makes more money than me.

Are the new couple moving with the marriage?

One thing we did years ago, living on an E-3 pay with 2 small kids, as a present to give a couple was a laundry basket with the various things you use all the time but forget you need - lightbulbs, batteries, a flashlight, some cleaning stuff, rubber gloves, etc....

We just couldn't afford more, and thought it was a cheap present, but it was useful. The groom worked with DH and said the day they saw each other next that the basket had been the BIGGEST help ever. The new apartment had NO lightbulbs in it, and they used the bulbs and flashlight right away, wouldn't have had anything otherwise and no 24 hour store near.

For the wedding - what about nice slacks or skirt and a nice shirt/sweater? Would that be enough dress up for this wedding?
