Mine sometimes riot going to bed, but once I get them IN bed and make them stay, 5 minutes, they are out. Even at 14.

Which is why the punishment for excessive whiny, annoying behavior is to go lay down in your room for 15 minutes. They WILL fall asleep. Always.

Erm, yeah, I had to make Charlotte go to bed last night at 6:30. Gak. Child was being a whiny brat of a teenager. Then she was cranky and STILL tired this morning.

Is it too late to sell her to the gypsies?

I'm staying home this year.

I wanted DH to take them out and he wanted me to. Stalemate. Yesterday friends of ours invited our kids to their church's Halloween bazaar and neither of us wanted to do that, either, but he said if I took them to the bazaar, he'd take them trick or treating. So I took them and they had a good time - hot dogs, cider, candy, games, hay ride, bouncy castle, etc. Tonight is his turn.

If one more pesron calls me this morning with a pointless and boring soliloquy about their life I'm going to freak out. 5 people I've listened to this morning droning on and on and I just really REALLY want to say "OK well let me know when I sound like I care!"

My kids tossed that out last night at the Bdwy party we attended and all the parents were like "Why are all the kids asking for "halloweenies" instead of "lil smokies" in the food line???" lol

DH went to a house this morning to repair a leak and was met at the door by (his words) "A strung-out road whore whose hair looked like someone barfed on her head". She immediately tried to bum a smoke from him, but he doesn't smoke, so she rooted around in her car until she found a half-smoked cigarette to get her nicotine fix.

Wouldn't THAT be more fun?!
