I like that word.

What are we talking about? school lunches? We qualify for the free hot lunch program but I still have to pay milk costs for my kindergardeners snack break...it's 30 cents a day...I'll send in $5 and they have a? rule? that they have to send home a notice EVERY day if the balance of their lunch account is under $5...silly really...waste of paper if you ask me.

pneumonia? ick Zoe still takes naps when she gets home from school or in the middle of the day on the weekends. I hope Grant feels better. Ava's been complaining about one of her ears...I'm getting concerned. Weren't we JUST at the dr???? Over the weekend my throat was KILLIN me! Just killin me. And I'm sore...especially in my neck but who knows if that's being sick or because of my herniated discs? I dunno. sick=suck

Zoe's Wizard of Oz production is over. 3 day performances. It was woven into a fun bit of MAGIC and set to stage. It was really fun. Grandma took her the first night so I could stay home with Ava...good thing cuz they didn't get home till after 10 pm and Ava was crashed out shortely after 9 pm and school was the next day. Me and Ava went on saturday....wiggle wiggle wiggle....is how that went...oh and every time there was a scene change she'd ask, "Is it over?" It went 3 hours. looooong but there was a 20 min. cookie and soda intermission. whew.

I read too much as well, and I know all those words, but I forget to use them anymore due to having to dumb down my vocabulary for my clientele.

I once asked someone if they had any "job prospects" and they asked "whats that?"

ohhhhh god.

He's not crackly or wheezy at all, but I was guessing pneumonia, that's been the only thing ever to make my kids extremely sleepy. Even when Matthew had mono, he was tired, but not this comatose vegetable state that Grant was aiming for. Was debating taking him to the ER last night, but he was breathing fine, wasn't complaining about any pain, no major fever. Figured we'd let him sleep at home and take him to the pedi today. Either way, same result, they test him, give him stronger meds, tell us to watch him and bring him to pedi if he gets worse or to the ER if his breathing changes at all. Wasn't worth exposing him to whatever extra germs were running around the ER, the lights and noise would keep him awake, thus extremely cranky and pissy, the 4+ hours wait, etc.... Vs pedi who said bring him in at 1pm, they'll take him directly back to not have major exposure (more exposing the other kids to him, but same deal), and it's quieter so he's not getting wired up with the hyperactivity issues, but being exhausted so he's at total meltdown stage, which makes the visit about a million times easier. Actually, it means he'll actually let the doctor within 6 feet of him without needing 4 nurses to hold him down.

I have no problems taking the kids to the ER if it's a matter of needing treatment NOW. But, meh, he wasn't having breathing problems, did the tests fine when I made him wake up, and it wasn't worth the problems we'd get with the ER trip.

And that makes me a horrible, rotten mother.

We raise chickens/turkeys/guineas, but bought in on organic, farm raised pig and beef. Just don't have that much of that now thanks to moving. Farm raised beef seems to go WAY farther than store beef. There just isn't the "oomph" to store beef. And store pig is just so vile and disgusting and dry.

maple, you sound busy as usual! Glad cute neighbor is working out for you.

I once told someone who acted like they didn't know what "job prospects" was that if they didn't have a clue on that, they couldn't get unemployment.

I was a meaniepants.

I do NOT!

Besides, I don't build the coops. I have a husband and minions, I mean children, for that.

Not you, silly.

sparkles, I hate that feeling when you pop out a word with more than two syllables and get the blank stare. It's not like I intentionally try to make people feel dumb!
