I love fudge! I've convinced myself that the best place to buy fudge is this awesome little fudge shop in Outer Banks, so it keeps me from buying it when we're not vacationing.

Last time we went I got Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Caramel.

I only buy fudge on vacation, too. We live near a BUNCH of candy shops in Pigeon Forge, but I only buy my fudge out of state. Safer for me, personally. But we went to NC last weekend, and did the Cherokee shops, saw Unto These Hills, and hit one of several fudge shops.

I'm still nibbling on my fudge, washing it down with unsweetened tea. For me, there just have to be pecans in fudge.

I thought I was the only one who liked unsweet tea! Especially when I'm eating something sweet, it just balances nicely.

I haven't even tried to catch up on this thread, but now I'm highly motivated to go back and check old posts.

I was raised on unsweetened tea. And when other people have milk with their cookies or whatever, I'll be the one having unsweetened tea or ice water with my cookies. Or, at this moment, fudge. Yes, it balances sweet things quite nicely.

I will also be drinking it while I have a responsible lunch

MMMmMMmMmm. Love that, too.
Or hickory nuts! About once every 5 years or so I take on the monumental task of shelling enough hickory nuts for a hickory nut pie. It's an abusive job but the rewards are oh so tasty!

As a kid I liked sweet tea and whenever my mom made some, it went fast. One summer we had a college kid stay with us and she preferred unsweet tea, so mom would make 2 pitchers of tea. The sweet tea would run out fast, so I started drinking the unsweet and never went back. I can't stand sweet tea now. My son also prefers unsweet tea, so I have to share with him. My girls like sweet tea. Oreos and unsweet tea - my favorite!

Responsible lunch? You're my hero. I think I'll probably have a late breakfast of eggs and toast and that will carry me through lunch.

I spent my early years in Miami, FL. Mom always had a large glass of unsweetened ice tea with her, and when we were thirsty we could drink as much as we wanted of her tea. I was probaby around 12 years old when we moved to GA and I tasted my first sweet tea

I was not impressed.
Mom still carries around her bottomless glass of tea, but I don't drink out of it any more. She's gone 'low-test' and I appreciate the caffiene! Also, I like unsweeted chai or green teas, as well as other flavors. She stay with Lipton.

I'm only having a responsible lunch because a) its leftover from dinner last night, and b) I want to eat more fudge

Also, since no one is in my end of the building, I've been dancing to the radio when there's a good song on. I was doing really well at not eating sweets / drinking sodas. Lost 5 pounds. I want them to stay lost
