From what I understand, the center is the part that 'hears' and is meant for non-curved surfaces. I'm told I need to look for one with 2 sides, since one side is smallers. And to look for one that has plastic around the edges.

Yours may be the right thing? I just don't know. Who'd have thought medical devices could be so complicated???

I was still envisioning the mini earhorn-on-a-tube from the dark ages, I guess.
