haha, it was about a year ago or so... we NEVER see them during the winter months, but we do see tons of them during the summer evenings.

Porcupine do not hibernate. They do stay close to home in the winter and stay in their dens during bad weather.

Can chickens fly?
Yes they can.
The wild ones started on our property, got airborne, flew over the fence and over the roof of the neighbors house and across the road before landing on the other side. That is a distance well over 100feet, plus over the roof of the house!
I told DH to wait for me to get the video camera before he chases them out of our yard again.
