She was tucked into a corner, and the standards book was a plain gray one surrounded by tons of brightly colored poultry books. It was VERY easy to miss. Did you see the lady with the patches and drawings? It was next to her table.
Batty, by April that boy might be a bit young. But there's an August show you could take him to.
Lori I did learn one big thing at the show in Newnan and that was to either not take DH or find something to occupy his time. Every time I whipped out my wallet he came outta nowhere! Kinda hard to sneak a turkey or goose or d'uccles or anything else for that matter into the truck before he noticed lol. Heck I had already stuffed everything that wasn't breathing into my purse. I probably looked like I was carrying a suitcase. Thats probably how I missed this lady and the guy playing the banjo.
What works for me is to take DH and station him by the van and the birds I'm selling. Then I play social butterfly and shop, stopping every so often to give him breaks. I have to leave an extensive cheat sheet on prices and bloodlines, but its sooooo worth it.
It's so cute, too, because there is always some cute kid around when I get back, showing Jim their new bird or trying to buy one of ours.
He may act like a mean old goat, but for some reason little kids love talking to him, and telling him stuff.
Um, it's hard to sneak a turkey or a goose anywhere anyway. A d'Uccle would almost fit in your purse, though.
Why would you want a goose?
