baby horsey?

I looked at my sisters friends house that's next to the red house yesterday....it's in better shape and move in ready and has natural gas and new plumbing and new everything....and.....a pool.

So cute neighbor sent lil doggy back over to live with x and the kids...they miss her apparently...his dad said it's been a source of debate.

I'm gonna miss her bunches. I told him that since my "d" I was probably gonna have to move and I was lookin at houses in the next town over but it was right off the highway to his work and if things changed and he got his doggy back...that he could drop her off at my house in the mornin and pick her up on his way home from work. **There's no hidden agenda there....really....blush blush blush***
So anyway we get to talkin about whats up with me and movin and the "d"....and he says, "You need a sugar daddy." and I'm thinking, "You offerin?" ha ha ha...but I said, "I don't know any of those." and laughed. Oh he's so fun to talk to.

oh happy sigh... I may have told him the new house has a pool and to bring his boys over to play. yes yes...pool is good.

That pic was the morning after and the snow stayed all night, but it was more like ice the next day
And the snowman my son made was still there just a bit last night.

Good morning everyone! It seems to finally have slowed a little here at the office (thank you God!). I had a big brain fart this weekend, I was cleaning the kitchen and decided to melt some wax from a candle, thought I'd be reallllll smart and pour the melted wax into another candle that had burned down through the center. I then placed the candle with the melted wax into the kitchen sink........yep you can gues what happened, the wax melted a hole through the side of candle and decided to trickle down the drain. I didnt notice it until I had finished mopping. I then proceeded to try and fix it without having to tell DH. He caught me as I was trying to take apart the drain and elbow underneath the sink

I'm not allowed to play with candles anymore lol. It took him almost two hours to get it fixed and thats not including the run to Lowes. So while he was gone I bathed the four stinky dogs who then proceeded to shake and roll all over the furniture. I'm glad to be back at work lol.

Sorry about the candle mishap Bows. I used to have some stained bookcases where I got my candle-playing learning curve. Now I play with melted wax over a large tray with a lip, like a cookie sheet.

DD is home sick. She was sick all weekend. I am praying I don't get it. She was sharing a water bottle with a kid at school, and I scolded her for it last week. Too late, I guess. Couldn't resist the urge to tell her she caught a chill because she chopped off all her hair.

In an effort to stay healthy, I lazed around the house all day yesterday. It was raining mixed with thunder off and on. It was supposed to be coop-cleaning day. I should've done that Saturday. It was actually pretty Saturday but after DD's class I played with the birds rather than cleaning the coop. But I thought yesterday was supposed to be a pretty day

And because we never went grocery shopping, I probably missed my only chance to get some GS cookies.

Lori ((HUG)) If you call the local girl scout place I'm sure someone would bring a couple of boxes to you. I'm sorry your DD is sick, sanitize everything and make her wear a mask.

Thanks, Bows, but if I'm meant to have GS cookies then it will happen. If they sell out of Thin Mints before I get any, then I'll take it an a sign I am not meant to be fat and happy.

As far as DD wearing a mask, it's too late. She got her feelings hurt the other day because she was all snotted up and I didn't want a big hug. So after she took a hot shower I made sure to hug her BIG. I do sanitize and she washes up regularly. But I've been exposed, for sure.


I just hope she opens the door if the PO stops by. My silkie eggs are scheduled to deliver today. Good thing, too, since my sillkie boy was not doing his job very well. I noticed last fall that some of the chicks were really weak when they hatched, but some were fine so I figured it was the weather. But so far this spring they have been infertile or failed part way through incubation. I have d'Uccles popping like popcorn right on schedule, so I know it's not a bator issue. I already re-homed the rooster (went to a cute kid, too) so now I'll hatch a new batch of non-related silkies while I wait and see if Spikely steps up and gets the job done. If he doesn't then I'll pick the best of the hatchlings and find Spikely a new home, too.

DH thinks I should get rid of my silkies & showgirls to focus on my d'Uccles. But I love these birds, too, and they sell easier. So they finance my d'uccles.

DH built me a nice large Beaner brooder this weekend. It won't have heat to it, though, so it will house a couple of bird pairs for a while.

My broody hatch this weekend was a big ol bust. 10 eggs and not even a pip. First time broody and first time hatching out eggs from these hens, so who knows what went wrong. I am falling asleep at work today so currently in my car getting ready for a nice 40 minute nap.
