As for related chicken news....no raccoons for two nights then last night the things climbed into the run and squeezed through a hole 1/2 the size of my chickens and grabbed my very best black hen and killed her. They tried to get her back out hte hole and couldn't. they ate off her neck and head and left the body.

Jeff found her first and removed her so I wouldn't have to see it. We did catch one in the trap and killed it. I have bought a second set of traps and will be up tonight - gonna see if Cetawin wants to go hunting tonight.

He was really angry this morning. It's them maddest he's been since this whole thing started. I think it's because now they are killing the "breeding" stock. I know some folks would be offended by that designation. But, yes, our breeding stock is WAAAAAAAAAY more expensive than the birds being killed up to this point.

Truthfully, that hen was worth about $50 at purchase as a chick now after 18 months of feeding and what not....well it's always about the wallet in the end with him and the livestock. So he took extra pleasure shooting that thing this morning.

I'm workin'. Got the mail - now I have to go up a whole flight of stairs to deliver it to my bossesssss'''' desks. Not that they are here to read it.

Rode my bike to work today - it was beautiful, and I didn't get any bugs in my teeth.

I'm working. Got emails answered, sold some stuff, and need to make some calls but I am having motivational difficulties.

Jeff is having a bad day. Head is really hurting and he's feeling sick. I'm concerned about the side effects of his head injury.

Seriously, I can eat a whole tub. Maybe my tastebuds are heartier than yours. do you smoke? Riding your bike with your mouth open may have caused wind damage to your tasters? IDK, but to not taste ben and jerry's is like a sin or something. I LOVE cherry garcia and phish food

No I don't smoke, and yes, I agree that not being able to taste a full bowl of B&J's is a crime. That's why I should only eat a small portion and let someone else have the rest - someone who can enjoy it. Not fully enjoying typically pleasurable things seems to be my theme... maybe someday I'll learn to have a good time.

Instead of lunch, I had a late breakfast. My husband took 1/2 the day off today to go to my ultrasound with me and took us all out afterwards. We're having a boy!!!

(That's what we were hoping for because we have 2 girls and boy and wanted to even things up.)

The waitress never came back to refill our drinks so I asked for a refill in a to-go cup, but I just swung my desk chair around and knocked my full glass of iced tea on the carpet.
