I am just getting into teaching our 11 year old DS to do laundry. He's got the folding and putting away down, now it's time to teach sorting, washing and drying.

Not that we are perhaps lazy as all get out, but we are known users of the Shout Color Catchers. Yup, awesome. No excessive sorting.

Then, to get them to DO the laundry - once they know how, don't have time to get it done. They'll want their laundry done, so they'll give up and wash it on their own.

Yup, I'm a bad, bad parent.

Clean clothes are overrated anyway. If you live far enough in the sticks, you can let 'em free range nekkid.

What's a Shout Color Catcher?

No worries, they'll be thrilled to know how to do it. I have a long list of priorities and laundry is not right up at the top (especially since the laundry room has a door that can be closed), so we frequently run out of things. Like underwear and socks.

My kitchen may be spotless, the horse shed picked clean, and the litterboxes impeccable, but the laundry....not so much.
