Ava was pouting about going to school today on the bus when she wants to ride with mommy but mommy doesn't come with the chicken and ducks till later. So I cleverly told her I needed help getting ready and we needed to find the wagon....to which she happily jumped in and got a ride to the end of the drive just in time for the bus.

I forgot to tell anyone yesterday, but our power went out during the mega storms Monday night. I have no idea how long it was off, but the eggs were 80 when we got up

My eggs for the Easter hatch were also affected, but they hadn't been cooking for too long and I think they'll be okay. The silkie eggs were in a few days longer, so I may've lost more shipped eggs.

But the emu bator was the only one that made me

We here at me are trying not to be miserable.
But DH was so perky and happy and brought us lunch, including a bladder-bursting cherry limeade. So if today cannot be a GOOD day then at least I can drown my sorrows in tart cherry goodness.

I have been having to work. Dang job.

Lunch today is egg salad sandwich and vanilla yogurt with hot chocolate mix dumped in. I'm not sure there is any nutrional value.

I went to genghis grill....had marinated steak and peppers grilled with brown rice.

It was good.

Now I am waiting for my caramel sundae from mcd.

Everything else today sucked.

Also, remember I was worried Mr Toes wasn't eating? Well, yesterday I caught him in the litterbox.

He had shat nearly an entire village. It was so large it took two scoops. Apparently he has been eating BEHIND MY BACK.

I might rename him Mr Poop.

Looks like a slow day today. Guess everybody is actually working.

Today at my house it is windy so I can't put the fig and our mystery citrus out on the front porch for fresh air and sunshine. The ground is also too wet to work on autumn olive destruction. Guess I could attempt to sharpen the chain saws.
