Office Work.......

DD was happy when she came out of the bandroom. After being told 'pit crew' was pretty much out for freshman, she's in the pit playing bells! I guess the piano lessons are paying off already. She was so pleased, because she was at the skill level of the captain (so far). Alos, she was pleased because the chick who tormented her in school last year is sharing a bell-set with another girl (only done when someone is expected to wash out before performance time). Best of all, the pit captain despises her nemesis already! So DD is giddy with joy and looking forward to tomorrow. I am so very grateul!!!!!!!!!


July flew away already Batty. It was a blink-and-you-miss-it month...

If she makes some good friends before high school starts, that should help her make the transition easier! My brother played drums in the pit the same year my sister and I were in the color guard. It was his senior year, so he played everything. I'm glad your DD's good at it right off the bat! I bet that helps her confidence.

She was glowing! The only person better than her today was the pit captain.
I'm happy too, because she's motivated to practice and stay at the cream of the crop. She can be very competitive, so seeing her all fired up is awesome!!


Spent 2 hours wandering from pen to pen feeding treats and looking at my chickers. I can't wait until September to let go of some birds, due to needing more grow-out space. Guess I'd better find a sale to go to. Some place local, since DD wil be keeping me busy for a while!

Do you know what is ridiculous?!? When I was at our temporary office, in front of the firewall, I could be on facebook all day and never hear a peep from the computer about viruses. Now that I'm behind the firewall, if I sneak around and go on facebook, it freaks out telling me I have all kinds of crap assaulting my PC....
