Office Work.......

Morning girls! I got my rabbit supply order yesterday, so I should be downstairs drilling a hole in a bucket to start my gravity water system for rabbits, but I strongly suspect we don't have the right size drill bit. I've also stalled on my chicken watering system. Today's a perfect day to work - not too hot, no appointments or commitments (although I will have to put in My Pet Chicken hours this afternoon) and finishing this project will make my animal chores SO much easier. Why am I not motivated?

Belle, there's always the dropkick method of babysitting. Or the let's play Locked-in-the-Closet for an hour or two. Or, here, drink this nice Uncle Jim Beam soda...

I told my husband if the kid threw up, I was tying him to a tree in the front yard and calling his mother to come get him.

Save a tree! Tie him to a telephone pole.

Good thinking, Buff! Telephone poles are close to the street...too bad there's not much traffic (only 4 houses beyond mine on a dead-end street.)

So if a person called the MPC 800 number during a certain time, would a person get a certain other person who a person knows only over the internet? I mean, I might be ordering from MPC someday and I want to see if their people are nice...

You'd get some really nice people, but not me.

I only answer the emails that come in. When I applied, they were looking for phone people, but since I have a certain 4-year-old making noise in the background, she didn't think the phones would be a good fit for me, so offered me email-answering instead. The great thing about emails is I can answer them any time of the day, even late at night and I can take a break to take care of Ella or go to the bathroom 15x/hour. But, I'm not the only one who answers emails, so you wouldn't guarantee to get a response from me.

If you want to talk to me, darlin', I'll send you my phone number.

PM it to me. Maybe I'll get up enough nerve to call you some evening.

I PMed you.

Calling me would reinforce your decision not to have children

So I got off FB & BYC to do some actual work, and when I went to work related sites the computer kicked me off IE, and when In kept trying to locked up. Had to reboot the stupid machine, and do my actual internet work on someone else's computer. Irony: I can visit personal sites at work, but not the work-related sites. When I told the "IT" people they laughed and said, "Maybe it thinks it IS your home computer."

Hence my calling them "IT' people and not "IT Support".

I ordered from MPC once, a long time ago. About the same time I joined BYC!
Belle, if you ever hear they need more phone people please let me know. I'd love to have a new career....

Buffy, music jokes are fun! We're such total nerds....
The only good part about rehearsal was at the part where I am supposed to play loudly the conductor told the orchestra, "Quit sliding around the beat. Lori's setting it; Keep up!"
I had my eyes locked so tightly on the director I lost my place. DD wasn't helping me keep up too well. It was an interesting practice. #2 of 6 before we go live

Or maybe y'all will be so cute that I'll get baby cravings...

Baby cravings, at a certain point in life, are torture!

I've had that happen too. Once a conductor stopped the orchestra, looked down at me in second chair and said pointedly: "she's like the girl with the curly hair - when she's good she's very very good, and when she's bad, she's very very bad."

Then there was the time I took a big dramatic bow stroke and knocked my stand over...during a concert. It went over oh so slowly that I just stared at it.
