That's CRAZY! I would have used a 2x6.

I should have used a 2x6. The 2x4 just made him angry. By the time we were done we were both bleeding and panting......stupid rooster. Ever been flogged by a 15lb rooster? That is like getting hit by a bag of sand with spikes sticking out of it.

My roosters are very respectful of me now. I have perfected my drop kick technique.

Actually, I'm pretty good at not buying chicks. The last several poultry swaps I went to, I sold my animals and bought nothing! Ever since I went a round with MG in my flock almost 2 years ago, I won't buy started birds at all, but I will buy hatching eggs.

What is the good of cultivating a broody flock if you can't put hatching eggs under the broody?

Pretty sure you have more fertile eggs than you know what to do with already.

Did I mention my poor molting blue cochin hen looks like Forrest Gump when she runs? She had ginormous foot feathers before......now that she is mostly nekkid, she is having a ball actually having semi-normal movement. Just looks RIDICULOUS. Half nekkid chicken doing the forrest gump run up the hill at me....help...might die of laughter....

Lori, working like that is unacceptable around here. Just type loud. that is my theory. Typing LOUD means working HARD. If in doubt, just type louder.

You should have heard them when I was talking about nipple waterers for my birds. I mentioned how hard it was to drill the right size hole for the nipples.
