Sounds like a valid enough excuse to me!

Oh stop it young lady. I bet I've got more gray hair than you my love.

HI Belle!

Birds are doing a little better today. I only lost 2 over the weekend.

Took your advice. I have 3 which will end up in the "cull" category---but will give them until Wednesday to make a "big" improvement. Saturday is last chance for everyone.

So I'm giving my daughter a phobia am I? Is that what you're saying??

Well, it can be traumatic to be forced into these "special" family moments. Not to mention embarrassing to have to be the kid of the "mom with the camera" but then maybe she'll be normal......

Honey, I'm her mother. Normal was never an option

Did you cull any last week? I'm glad the tide is turning for the better. It can look pretty hopeless when you're standing in the worst of it.

I figured I would give the "worst" ones the 3 shots, and then that is it. They get the axe Wednesday if they don't perk up immediately. I did have 2 chicky-teenagers croak, but I am not surprised. Also noticed the ones that insist on sleeping on the ground all have red mites. The big birds are mite free. French toast great. No wonder the little ones look so pekid.

I did have to cull a baby chick, but it was because someone stepped on it, and the leg was broken beyond my ability to repair and nurse.
