Sorry about your cat. Mine rarely get canned food. If you open a can of soup, they come running just to make sure they aren't missing something. So when mine go somewhere stupid, I open a can of food. Problem solved. They don't go to stupid places as often as you'd think they would... And they say cats are smart!
Ahhh, gotcha. It's a conundrum.
Maybe you'll have another hen go broody just in time and she can solve your problem for you.
Most of my cats ride the short bus, I'm afraid.
The other 2 broody hens are on eggs of their own.
I don't think anyone can fit any more successfully underneath them.
If I were you I'd still go out and shake the feed bag, or pop the top on a can of tuna and wave it around.....
