Speaking of breakfast, we are going to Mimis for lunch. Breakfast specials here we come. I want french toast. i have an unhealthy love for french toast and also an unhealthy opposition to cooking it. It just grosses me out. The eggs and the bread and the goober and the

Whenever my mom visits I'm always begging to have her make me breakfast. Make me french toast! I love it. looooooove it.

I tried to be good this morning, and had a V-8 fusion with Sun Chips for breakfast.

I had a bag of M's and a dose of Day-Quil for my mid-morning snack.

I am destined to be homicidal by nightfall, I'm afraid. Too little sleep, too much stress, and way too many hormones. Good thing I have another bag of M's....

I've noticed a direct corellation between pre-menstrual chocolate consumption and my homicidal tendencies. It is best if I am heavily pre-medicated with chocolate. I just finished a bag of M's.

Same here. I think that makes for a conclusive study. Chocolate prevents homicide.

Last night I told DH that constantly commenting on how crabby I am is NOT going to make me any less crabby! I think the snarl and bared teeth that accompanied that statement must have gotten the point across, he has been much more tolerable since then. Love the man dearly but sometimes he needs to know when to shut his mouth and open his arms.

Give him a break, he's a guy.

Yep, that's what I did. I put 1 gallon of cider in the pot with 2 cinnamon sticks, 6 cloves, a dash of allspice and almost 2 cups of sugar.

The whole house smells nice, too.

I rarely add sugar, but when I do I add a bit of brown sugar

I have a bag of spices that include dried orange peels. I got it up north last Thanksgiving the past 2 years. One of the best things about going to see DH's family: A ginormous craft fair that includes the guy who makes the spice blend....

I prefer brown sugar, too, but I'm out. I need to go to Sams and get a big bag of brown sugar in preparation for all the holiday baking.

I have a bag of English Muffin Bread in the fridge, waiting to be turned into french toast. It is way too yummy for words.

Hmmmmm. I think I know what I'm having for dinner tonight....
I am not squeamish about making it. It is one of the first things I learned to make. The trick is to apply cinnamon to the bowl of slime every so often, so that the slices pick up a nice coat of cinnamon-speckled slime

I have $45 worth of premium pecans on my desk, begging to be taken home and make into sugared pecans.

I can't give in until we're back from OH. It'll be torture.

I should actually wait until mid-December, or none of them will last to be Christmas gifts...

I did, that's why he's still breathing today.

Nah, seriously, he is great and he tries hard to understand my moods. It has to be hard for him when I can't even stand myself sometimes.

I had a Spicy V-8 with a whole wheat bagel with artichoke and spinach cream cheese for breakfast. Lunch is a turkey sandwich, chips and an orange. I asked DS what he wanted for his birthday supper - rice, chicken and broccoli and carrots. I can totally do that!

Yes indeed! And don't forget the vanilla in the slime.

Oh yes! I always add that, too. It seems to change the consistency of the slime, and make it smoother, too.

I always add vanilla to pancake batter as well. I used to shape the pancakes into fish, and the kids would pretend to be wolf pups and eat the 'fish' up plain, no syrup. Ah, the good old days....

That's my favorite way, too. Eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla into a slimy batter.

With real maple syrup and powdered sugar on top. I think I'll have French Toast for lunch.
