I could hear them calling me, much like the siren call of the deadly Silkie, and I was helpless to resist. Luckily they are white cheddar, so no yellow teeth, or fingers stained the color of an elderly unfiltered cigarette smoker's. No one could even tell that I ate half a bag on the way home from the store

(Note to self, no more 10pm runs to the grocery store for puppy pads. Too hard to resist the evil voices late at night.)

I think brownies for Batty, and cheese doodles & vodkaritas for everyone else sounds like the beginning of an awesome party...

Don't remember a cheese doodle scene, but I think I've read one of her books before. . . I'm sure I'd remember someone holding up a truck full of cheese doodles. Maybe Janet knows Buffy?

That would be Lula. I am HUGE fan of Evanovich's books. All of them. The numbers, in between the numbers and the other rewrites she has done lately. Her website is a freakin HOOT!

Oh Lori you need to start at the beginning with the Plum books - One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three to Get Deadly, Four to Score, High Five, - OMG I remember them all.
