And you're old and young enough to know what that sounds like. And yes, Sparks, you are our token 20-something.

Anybody had a chicken with a high-pitched wheeze? Biscuit shocked me this morning and after I came home from my two manual labor jobs a little while ago, she's the same, but lethargic.

Is she going to buy the farm?

AND, I have to be somewhere to play string quartets in 15 minutes. And I'm filthy, stinky, sweaty and gross from the outdoor work I did for pay today. Can I call them and say I have a sick daughter?

Okay thank you guys for the reassurance - I did some BYC searches on it and got some ideas, but wanted to talk to you guys in a hurry instead.

Gotta run to quartet now. Should have showered, but what the heck? They're lucky to find a cellist in the backwoods of the Godforsaken Cape for cryin' out loud.

Love you guys!

The gal that does our payroll is about as dumb as a box of rocks. Every pay period all of us are a straight 80- hours. No OT, no vacation etc., That stuff is tracked seperately from payroll (good thing too!). Last pay period she paid someone 64 reg and 16OT, couldn't get it fixed and was supposed to deduct it this time. So what does she do? In the DEDUCTIONS box on ADP, she enters MINUS 75.00. So what happened? It added it in again. The check went into her bank account and then BACK OUT! Now this gal has no paycheck. they overnighted one yesterday. Fedex has no record of it. I am TICKED!!! I call the GM and told him to get his fanny to the bank and deposit CASH for her.

Sounds like the time one of the girls here went on FMLA after she had her baby. They paid her for a month that she didnt even work, and instead of taking it back, they let her keep it and then took like $300 from each check after she went back till it was paid off. We get paid on the last day of the month, thats a lot of $300 payments to take out...

So do I and this whole thing will be over soon. We are going through processes now to become our agency's employees instead of contracted workers. Once that process is complete, I will probably be doing the payroll myself. I mean how can someone screw up ADP???
