Office Work.......

Oh please, I designed and did the "difficult" woodworking on that brooder unit. He mostly stood around and got annoyed with stuff went wrong and did the heavy lifting. I was the carpenter of the two of us.

And no, I did not steal the blade guard off......ha ha ha.....I would have stolen the whole darn saw if he had it back then. I only have bitty $40 handheld circular saws.....I want a fancy table one, ooooooh......

Good idea. I actually have a $100 giftcard on the way........was considering using it to buy one of those little garden carts that are about $80-100. I need it to haul food and water down the hill in the winter when its icy.

Or I considered using it buy tar paper and shingles as I am going to start trying to shingling instead of using the corrugated plastic roofing or sheet metal.

Or I could use it to buy or at least go towards a nice table saw.

Anyone got an extra 2 x $100 giftcards I can have? Pleaaaaaaaaase?

Isn't it hard having x amount of $ and y amount of wants, with x NOT being equal to y in any way, shape or form?
This is the only time algebra seems applicable to real life, although I couldn't write the equation...

This morning I was late for work because as I backed out of the garage I saw a Bobcat bulldozer-ish thing near the coop, where NO Bobcat bulldozerish thing should ever be. Turns out the the folks building a house behind ours removed the brush that was separating the 2 yards, and then parked the Bobcat in the empty space. I'm hoping that's to keep it from sinking in the red clay when it rains today, and not because they secretly want to mow down my coop & runs. But I do worry about it!

I am fervently wishing I knew someone who was traveling between TX and TN really soon. There is a flock of millies I want to 'import'. I know it's an impossible dream, but I'm enjoying my little fantasy world where I have a flock bred by the best of the best.
I cannot afford to have 13 birds shipped anywhere, I don't think.

Santa, are you listening?

And if you are, can I have my gift a little early? I need a millie miracle....

I guess Illinois to Ohio isn't close enough.

No, I would describe that as a shorter more parallel route to the one I have in mind.

Ohhhh, algebra and geometry all in one day. I'm scaring myself!

I will be in Ohio and Illinois BOTH on November. OH for the big poultry show and IL to visit my father-in-law.

Lunch: Microwave popcorn, graham crackers with Nutella on them, unsweetened green chai tea.
Book of the Day: Evidence of Things Unseen by Marianne Wiggins. I suspect this will turn out to be a sad book, but its been very enjoyable so far, despite the lack of quotation marks, which drives me nuts. It is filling time until Mom sends me the 3rd book in the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series....

Lunch: Chinese Buffet. SO YUMMY.

Also realized in talking with the brother in law, that I was picturing a compound miter saw in my brain, not a table saw. Exboyfriend lost the finger(s) to the table saw. For Christmas I want a compound miter saw.

Just, you know, in case someone here decided to gift me something.

Sorry too late, Santa already typed "table saw" into his Blackberry and he doesn't know how to delete it.

Glad I was more generic and just asked for a millie miracle...

You sure don't ask for much, you Millie Pusher you.

I wouldn't push millies on you, Buffy. It would be Goldnecks. They would better color-coordinate with the BO's, and just add a little feathered bling to your coop.
