Office Work.......

So, somebody busted me on the "am I too heavy to ride a horse" thread. I went back and self-edited because honestly, I don't know enough to comment on it. All I can picture is a 300 pounder on a 13 hand quarter horse. It's just not fair to the horse to eat Twinkies till you can't walk, then expect a horse to carry you.

Okay, seems I'm getting crankier as the day goes on. The men's toilet upstairs is running, but I am steadfastly refusing to go up there and fix it. So there.

Who knows........navicular issues, ringbone. Lots of words thrown around. Xrays showed serious navicular issues. But of course they couldn't really tell and wanted me to trailer her in for MORE xrays. No thanks. Last vet said that without xrays, she would say ringbone. I would guess BOTH to be honest. She was a rescue I bought in early 2006, sight unseen........she went lame in mid 2007. She is very difficult to ride and has a bucking issue........so I went ahead and gave her a year off after moving here cause I was busy. She is pasture sound and would be sound for light work, but is too scary to ride without some major training.......and too lame for the hard work involved in training.

So she stands around and eats a lot now.

If she could type she would definitely be here.

She is like me in horse form.

Don't believe me?

Uh yeah, never mind.

LOL, she is SO HATEFUL.

I just wave carrots around at her. Her ears are like MAGIC......they are pinned back, you wave a carrot, SPROING! they are forward!

That is not my barn.....I board her there. 160 acre farm or something like that. She is just "pasture boarded" but that is her dream in life. She stands around in a field and eats all day with her friends. Shoot, that's MY DREAM in life.

A plane crashed a mile or two away from the barn recently. Me and everyone who knows Foxy agrees that unless it actually hit her on the way down, she probably didn't even stop chewing.

PS......when doing the "wave the carrot thing" make sure you actually let her eat one every now and then.

Otherwise?

She looks like a whole new horse when her ears migrate into the forward position.

Despite my earnest humbleness, a person is still managing to be ticked off at me on the riding thread. Sometimes it doesn't pay to show your belly. Some people just want to fight, even if they are fighting someone who has essentially left the argument (and the building).
