Last night I made bread, cinnamon spice swirl bread, peanut butter cookies, orange coconut macaroons, aaaand orange ginger spice cookies with orange zest cream cheese frosting.

I frequently make potpouri, and have thought about slicing them up and drying them. May do that with the nasty ole grapefruits....
As we made kuku's last night DD was reading the ingredients. When she got to cloves she stopped and looked at me, saying in amazement, "There's pot in these?" I said, "Different kind of bud, Sweetie. Get your nomenclature right."
BTW, we also made choc chip cookies and coconut oatmeal cookies.
The coco-oat are my faves, and I have been eating them for breakfast. I didn't bake many up. I find cookie dough is greatly improved after a day or 2 in the fridge. The kuku's aren't done resting, so I haven't baked any of them yet. I made a double batch of those, too.
Will be a baking fool tomorrow, after I clean the coop (
I only make one kind of cookies for Christmas, and that's the kuku cookies. My BFF brings us a huge platter of goodies and so does my MIL, so I feel no need to try to outdo them.
Laree, is your alter ego Martha Stewart? Baking that many cookies in one evening hardly seems possible while working a full time job and chasing after children. You're my new hero.
