Another great day.

Went out for Sourgough pancakes for breakfast Yum!!!
Moved the last of the stuff out of Tom's storage unit to be sorted (some things don't need to go to the new house)
Then bought steaks to test which rub we want to use for the Prime Rib on Christmas. I think we're going with #2

Now I'm making fun of BYC friends on FB

I might have.

At least BYC will get a break from me tomorrow. When we finish our travels for the day Office Work might be the only thing I have time for.

And Okiemomma was there too!

I be off work now, and it be raining, raining, raining.
And I be going shopping today for presents. DH sold a motorcycle so we could!
He's been unemployed for 20 months now, except for that nightmare job he had for a couple months.

DH went for a job interview recently, please, please let him get it!
My lunch lady salary just doesn't quite let us make it.
That's why DS and family moved in with us to help me out, but they should be getting the keys to their new home this week.
They be excited!
And its not too far away, but it is not in our district so I won't get to be GD lunch lady, like I am GS lunch lady.

ha ha, a student made a cute picture for me at work. It says 'The best lunch lady'
Then she and friend made another one and it says I am the best lundy!
So, now I am a lundy instead of a lunch lady! The students really are so cute.

Good morning!

Two weeks old now. I think his eyes might turn brown like DH and Matthew's eyes.

Everytime I get a few minutes for the computer, I'll read the posts on our thread and by the time I'm caught up enough to post something, His Majesty wakes up and demands to be fed. This time I decided not to try to catch up, but just post something while the baby's sleeping.

I haven't seen my chickens since the day I went into labor. My husband and mother have been taking care of them. My mother wouldn't even let me walk down there with her. She insisted I'm supposed to rest and recover from childbirth. Crazy woman. She left for Arizona yesterday, so I get to see my birds today. I had 2 broody hens sitting on eggs that I didn't get to candle, but they should've hatched by now, if they were going to. I don't think they hatched.

Batty, I hope you're feeling better! I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt in your accident!

Laree's back! Sorry you got fired. Did they at least fire TG first? I'd be so mad if they let you go and kept her.

Lori, I loved that Christmas picture! How many shots did it take to get such a perfect picture!?

Orchy, Nella, Lori, Dacs, Michelle, Boo and Buffy - I miss all y'alls brand of humor and I wonder what you're up to while I'm nursing the baby in my rocking chair and watching endless freak shows on Discovery Health Channel.

If I don't get back on this week, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! Love you all!

His Majesty woke up...back to diaper duty.

Hi Belle!

Such beautiful pictures! You surely have your hands full over there, wow.

In slightly related news, I added on to my family as well.

Meet "Napkin".

She is an adult cat that has been at my local "kill" shelter for a month. Since before Thanksgiving......I decided she must join my family in time for the holidays.

I adopted her Saturday, she is going to get fixed Wednesday and I will get to pick her up Wednesday late afternoon. She'll be home just in time for Christmas.

She is incredibly sweet and friendly...however she tilts her head and looks around, almost as though she can't see very well. She definitely can see at least shadows as she will aim her head for your hand if you reach over to pet her. She immediately rolled over onto her back so I could rub her belly when I was at the shelter visiting her. Purring, kneading, the whole nine yards.

Since she will be an indoor only cat here, perfect eyesight is not necessary! She is adorable.

eta: it was obviously meant to be.......this shelter accepts cash only, which I never carry. However, an adoption with all the felv/fivtesting/spay/microchip/etc is $126 (regular adoption minus extras is $70). Guess how much cash I had to my name that day? $126. Stranger things have happened....but not recently. I had sold chickens that morning to get $40, and my grandma sent me $50 for Christmas. It made exactly $126. So very strange. I do think the adoption is a bit too expensive, but was willing to go for it to save 'Napkin'. Now she needs a new name! Speaking of which, my current cat is Norman. Napkin, Norman......he is also black with the same white spots. Meant to be...

Belle what a wonderful picture!

Nell, I had to giggle when I read about Napkin. I used to have a siamese that was cross eyed. When he hunted you could tell when he found something cause he'd tilt his head 'just-so' to line up his eye and focus on the matter at hand

Merry Christmas to all!
