There's hope yet...my town used to be dry until about 5 or so years ago if even. But the funny thing there was a gas station on the corner right outside the limits that carried alcy. But now the new restaurants get to serve it. And there's street lights on the corner!!! What the heck has this lil town come to????

They tried to get them legalized here....I think they sort of did...just not in my town. The next town over did get to open one, so I can go there to buy stuff. Its my favorite liquore store. Next door to a taco bell/kfc and mcdonalds, across the street from a Wendys, and down the road from Pizza Hut, Hardees and a good feed store. I believe I am 2 miles off the highway and it is just off the next exit 4 miles away. So I am 6 miles from the nearest liquor store.

It frightens me that I knew that all offhand.

My black velvet trousers aren't fuzzy anymore. That's how stretched out they've become this past month. Breathe Nella, breathe.

I split a pair of sleep pants right up the butt the other day. In my defense, they were so old the fabric was thin and worn. It didn't even split on the seam, just right up one butt cheek. I knew it felt a little "airy" that night.

I giggled and now my eyes are watery.

Don't tell Buff or she'll tell ya to ride your bike.

Nells, I have to admit, your love of fast food perplexes me greatly.

I went to the deli at the grocery store and made a salad for lunch. Spinach, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded cheese, sunflower nuts, hard-boiled eggs, (don't look at this next one Buffy) fake crab meat and light French dressing. It was scrumptious. I washed it down with peach iced tea and felt like it was summer there for a moment.

maple, a friend of mine lives in Missouri and she said they're supposed to have 50's and 60's there this weekend. You guys are so lucky.

I don't have a bike. There are evil cows and big dogs between me and the liquor store. Also, a large body of water. I prefer to avoid death.

speaking of fast food....I was just gifted a gift card from Culvers...what should I go get???

ACtually I think it was her cousin.

In all seriousness, I got a christmas card from my neighbor last year. I never knew their last name....they are just neighbors SO AND SO AND HIS WIFE SO AND SO #2. So I get their Christmas card and their last name is the same as one of my coworkers. So I ask my coworker about it. He is her cousin! LOL. Only in the south.........
